In a deeply interwoven society, while every contribution to the social sector solves a piece of the puzzle, much more needs to be done to see widespread social change and progress. In a highly interconnected and ever changing world, grappling with the complex, societal challenges, the need for change is now, and this requires new thinking. We need to change as individuals to see differently; seeing differently allows us to act differently to solve systemic problems collaboratively and co-creatively. innovation latent in every individual and organisation. It seeks a new perspective to philanthropy. One that empowers grantees, who are working with courage and sense of purpose, towards sustainable change. One that creates space for them to thrive in. An approach that invests in long term change through collaboration, rooted in co-creation and mutual learning and under pinned by freedom rather than control. An approach that recognises that societal change cannot occur overnight but and needs patient, empathetic nurturing with the space and freedom to fail.
